- Jimmy Treybig, Chairman, is a venture partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA). Jimmy was Tandem’s principal Founder and served as its
CEO from 1974 until January 1996. Under his leadership, Tandem first went public in 1977, was ranked by Inc magazine as the fastest growing public company in America in
1980, made the Fortune 500 list in 1985, and was a $2+ billion company when it became part of Compaq in 1997. Jimmy’s leadership has garnered numerous accolades, including
UPSIDE Magazine’s “100 People Who Changed Our World”, Silicon Valley Software Development Forum’s “2002 Visionaries – Silicon Valley Pioneers”, Industry Week magazine’s
Excellence in Management award, and Entrepreneur of the Year awards from both the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Harvard Graduate School of Business. Jimmy
is currently also a director of Motion Computing and Heliovolt, and serves on the board of trustees for Austin’s Seton HealthCare Network.
- Tommy Eng, Director, has over 20 years of corporate management, engineering management, and entrepreneurial experience in software/hardware
design, system/IC design, IP business, design services business, and Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Tommy is a partner in EXA Ventures, a venture capital investment
firm specializing in IT, semiconductor, communications, multimedia technology/services/content, software, and the incubation of early stage technology companies. Before
founding EXA Ventures, Tommy held various executive and engineering positions at Tera Systems, Mentor Graphics, Silicon Compiler Systems, and Bell Labs. Tommy also serves
on the board of directors of Mosys (Monolithic Systems) and Focus Enhancements, both publicly-traded semiconductor companies, and five other private companies.
- Paul Hsiao, Director, is a partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), a venture capital firm with $6B under management. Paul has been
involved with numerous NEA semiconductor investments including SMIC, Actions Semi, Spreadtrum Communications, Atheros Communications, BCD Semiconductor, and Telegent
Systems. Prior to joining NEA, Paul was an entrepreneur, co-founding and serving as VP of Marketing at Mazu Networks, a security software company. Paul’s career also
includes marketing and engineering positions at McKinsey & Company’s Greater China offices, Medtronic and Shriners Institute.
- Hugh Barnes, Independent Director, brings a strong customer viewpoint to the Company’s strategic development, and the company benefits greatly
from his extensive experience in business and technology management. Hugh retired as VP, CTO, from Compaq Computer Corporation, where he had held several other senior
management positions. Before joining Compaq in 1984, Hugh held executive engineering and operations positions at Mattel Electronics, Texas Instruments, and E. F. Johnson
Company. In addition to serving as a director of Luminary Micro, Hugh serves as a director of Transmeta Corporation and as an advisor to Skyonic Corporation.
- Thomas D. Berman, Director, a partner at Adams Street Partners, and is responsible for a number of succesful ASP investments, including Creo Products, Depotech, Harris Interactive, IC Works, Jefferson Wells, Magnavox Electronic Systems, Netegrity, PathScale, SDL, and WallData. In addition to working with Luminary Micro, Tom is also currently a director of Adams Harris, comScore, and the IVCA.
- Michio Fujimura, Observer, is a co-founder and Managing Director of ATA Ventures. For 15 years, Michio owned and operated Vanguard
Systems Consulting (VSC), a sole proprietorship established to leverage his wide IT industry experience. VSC built a strong reputation in Silicon Valley that specialized in
the areas of international business development and business operations consulting (product planning, product marketing and manufacturing) for U.S. start-up companies.
Michio has been responsible for identifying more than $200M for over 20 start-up companies through a combination of equity investments, licenses and NRE. Michio was also
instrumental in defining marketing opportunities and requirements for the establishment of subsidiaries, partnerships and distributorships for American corporations in
Japan. Prior to VSC, Michio was a member of the charter team of David Systems, a pioneer in packet data networking systems. Prior to David Systems, Michio held product
marketing, planning and management roles at Olivetti Corporation in the areas of networking and telecom.
