Luminary Micro, Inc. seeks outstanding, experienced financial analyst to join its seasoned team. Austin, Texas-based Luminary Micro is ARM’s lead partner for the Cortex-M3 processor, delivering the world's first silicon implementation of the Cortex-M3 processor to the worldwide markets in the industrial, medical, commercial and consumer spaces. Working with all facets of the company, the candidate will provide expertise in business analysis, cost accounting, sales analysis support, inventory reporting and other financial analysis support. The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing flow, cost and analysis, general and capital accounting, and variation analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the reporting of budgets, forecast and business analysis
  • Implementing, maintaining and updating our standard cost system.
  • Calculate and report monthly manufacturing financial metrics.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecasts.
  • Perform analysis of worldwide sales activity.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes for costing, sales, purchases, fixed assets, and creating appropriate journal entries for recording monthly activity.
  • Work with Engineering to establish appropriate bills of materials, as well as cost for new products.
  • Forge strong business partnerships with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to help them drive improvements and company profitability.

Essential qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MBA preferable
  • Five + years experience of Cost Accounting / Financial Analysis in mfg environment.
  • Semiconductor Experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Sound communication and presentation skills
  • A self-starter – highly motivated to find solutions and develop processes.
  • Ability to influence
  • Detail oriented – desire to understand every aspect of the business and be a change-enabler.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

This position reports to Vice President of Finance. The company is located in Austin, Texas.
