Luminary Micro is seeking an experienced marketing professional to drive the company’s emergence as the industry leader in MCU-based networked applications. This executive will drive overall business success through definition and implementation of effective market, application, and product strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand, define, and communicate the value proposition of our products.
  • Develop and nurture key customer relationships.
  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance to the sales and FAE teams.
  • Ensure proper training on forthcoming products and technologies.
  • Identify the value drivers of emerging opportunities and identify the technology required to bring them to fruition.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams that develop products silicon, software and systems products for target markets and applications.
  • Identify, define and quantify customer/market requirements and opportunities for new products and contribute to product definition/business planning with a cross-functional business team.
  • Define market and product strategies to increase market penetration.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key third-party partners.
  • Understand competitive threats and lead competitive evaluations to drive overall market and competitive strategy.
  • Set new product pricing, forecasts and revenue projections.
  • Champion business development of products including product launch, market communications, field support and customer development.

Essential qualifications (must have):

  • Bachelors degree in engineering; EE preferred. Advanced degree desirable, MBA a plus.
  • 10 or more years of demonstrated success in marketing of networked semiconductors
  • Proven ability in business-to-business technology marketing, semiconductor product development and launch in the networking/internetworking/communications markets
  • Solid industry experience, familiarity with networking product development processes and product qualification in the target markets
  • Knowledge of power, analog or digital circuits applied in products deployed in networking applications
  • Proven track record of new business development, revenue/profit growth
  • Strong leadership and business management skills
  • Sound business finance knowledge
  • Ability to build and lead a team as the business grows
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to travel internationally.

Advantageous qualifications:

  • Experience with a semiconductor start-up
  • Experience with embedded microprocessors, microcontrollers or programmable system-on-chip (SoC) products

The company is located in Austin, Texas although there is flexibility in the location of this leader. Significant domestic and international travel may be expected.

Compensation:
