With 27 years of professional experience in all facets of embedded design and development, Paul leverages his expertise in hardware and software to ensure that developers can get the most from their applications. Paul has a strong foundation in the startup world, having been a founder of Allant Software (acquired by ARM Ltd) and Symantec, and employee number 12 at Microtec Research (acquired by Mentor Graphics). Paul's wide-ranging technical background spans processor design, signal processing, development tools, RTOSes, embedded applications, and board design. After ARM's acquisition of Allant Software, Paul's 7 years at ARM included development tools development, the design of the ARMv7-M architecture, and the co-design of the Cortex-M processor. Paul holds a BA in Computer and Information Science and a BA in Physiological-Psychology from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
