Board Design HELP...

Hi,

This is my 1st post, so, excuse if it sound stupid...

we are ready to develop PCB board using LM3S6911.

I could not find enough information to complete the schematic.

I planing to use the EKT-LM3S6955 to program/debug my 'going to be developed board'

My development tool will be Code-Red.

My question,

Can anyone please provide example schematic which has the following;
1. programmable via EKT-LM3S6955 evaluation kit
2. UART Port(Rs-232, 115Kbps)
3. Interface to SD card (micro)
4. I2C line connected to DS1307+ (RTC chip)
5. LAN Interface (recommended suitable magnetic)
6. 10-GPIO

I can take care the regulator, reset, crystal, 232 line interface and other external module.

I need support on which pin/port need to be used on the above requirement.

I know what I am asking to a lot, you assistance is highly appreciated and when you are in Malaysia, I take you for beer... ;-)

Re:Board Design HELP...

Hi,

download datasheet fow some EVB kit, e.g. LM3S6965 Ethernet Evaluation Kits, there should be circuit and PCB scheme at the end. Or other EVB..

Look at LM3S8962 Evaluation Board datasheet. With this EVB is equipment a LM3S2110 microcontroller that has only JTAG to debug. However fortunately LM3S8962 can act as a USB-JTAG bridge.

!!! Do not forget to connect pull-up resistors on I2C bus. This takes me 4 days of my life and stultification on this forum :).

Good luck

Martin

P.S.
If you can not find datasheet for EVB LM3S8962,I can send it to you.

Re:Board Design HELP...

I replied to this over in the Suggestions area too. If you want to download the board user manual, you can find it on this page. It's also on the CD that comes with the 6965 board.

Re:Board Design HELP...

Hi,

1. Thanks, I have download and revisited the data sheet.

2. Yes, it provided enough information on page 12 , 16 and page 26

3. We need to use the P2 header (10x2) and connect Pin18 of P2 to ground to enable the external MPU.

I wonder why I could not see this before.

Thanks guys,
When in Malaysia ring me, I makeup the beer.. OK..

Now to drawing board and to complete the schmatic,
I update when there is result.

Thanks, found the schamtic, and I think I can develop the PCB without any more problem.... (keeping my finger crossed..... heee..heee)

Thanks
