Re:Microcontroller with Ethernet and USB Host
Hi
Rather than starting a new thread, I think that the following is suitable as an extension to this one.
1. The ATMEL SAM7X family has offered Ethernet and USB device together for a number years. The STR91 family from ST also does. The LPC23 range from NXP includes Ethernet and USB HOST/DEVICE, as does their very new Cortex M3 based LPC17XX range.
None of these however have Ethernet PHY integrated...
2. We have recently added a USB stack to the uTasker project but haven't been able to complete the Luminary port due to the fact that we haven't received all boards. They were ordered about three months ago (Farnell) and the host board arrived quickly but the device board still seems to be out of stock. Is this a Farnell problem or are the USB device chips in short supply?
Note that the uTasker project includes software upload capabilities using Ethernet HTTP post or FTP and, when a USB device interface is available, also uploading to this in CDC (communication device class) mode.
3. Finally: Please see the following concerning vendor ID /product IDs in USB projects: http://www.utasker.com/forum/index.php?topic=352.msg1415#msg1415 Does, or will, Luminary be offering such a scheme for users of their silicon?
Regards
Mark
