Using Timer as a simple clock divider

I have a LM3S6965 with a 7.3728MHz Crystal, running at 50MHz.

How can I use a Timer to connect one input to the Crystal ouput, divide by four and get an ouput pin with 1.8432MHz for external UART chip 16C554?

I read throughtou tha manual and I could not find input and output setup for that.

Thanks for any help,
Alain

Re:Using Timer as a simple clock divider

I have the same problem.
I searched for a TIMER application notes for LM3S6965, and found no one.
Is it possible to conect internally a timer output to another timer imput?

Best regards
