Re:Download fail with Keil and LM3S811

Hello alex_b,

I've had a few usb problems with windows98 first edition, especially with wlan-adapters and serial-adapters to mobile phones - but honestly I don't know if this is the problem.
Maybe LMI-Eric can send you the mentioned logging-enabled lmidk-agdi.dll to find out what goes wrong.

As I remember this dll calls ftcjtag.dll (from ftdi)which calls ftd2xx.dll.

If I can get a first edition system I'll try there.

In mprog you can see the configuration with the command "Read and Parse" in the menu.

Good luck

Re:Download fail with Keil and LM3S811

Hallo Eric,
Thank you for your offer to help. Sorry I took so long to respond to this. My wife have been in a very bad motor vehicle accident 4 weeks ago. This has put a large stick into my work life. The email address in my profile is correct. I would appreciate a new .DLL to assist soving this problem.

Re:Download fail with Keil and LM3S811

I also had have this Problem... at this time i think it is solved but i will see.
My situation was - i get the board from the cc luminary contest,i play a little bit and changed some options.
After this i was in trouble.
I did'nt know what i have changed exactly - but as i search and look i can see that all the time the Luminary debug dll is active - i changed it to the ev board dll.
All the time i get the target DLL error as described there.
then i try the new driver from FTDI and changed before the VID and PID in the driver.
but this bring no change.
I was so worry.
Then i deinstall Keil.
before i install it i look isn the C:Winntsystem32 and C:Winntsystem32driver and ther was all the FTDI files.
I try ftdiuninstall - but nothing happends - so i deleted it all manualy - also the *JTAG.dll (*because i'm not at home and cant remember exact name FTDIJTAG or FTDJTAG)
at next i go to FTDI and load also the FTDIJTAG.
At first i make a newintallation of Keil (cdrom contest version) after this i copy the new FTDI driver to C:Winntsystem32 and C:Winntsystem32driver
I try Keil , play a little bit with code compile it and i have no trouble. All it works - only the debug function is really slow if i compare it with other debugger.
But this can be normal - i didnt know it.
If i have again trouble i would also take the modified dll.

Some word to my system :BS:Win2K sp4 CPU:Athlon1.8 Ram:1GB

Re:Download fail with Keil and LM3S811

Hello,

I can get the message you mentioned when I disconnect USB cable before to flash a program. Try to look if drivers are properly installed - no yellow question marks in Device Manager.
May be it helps a little.

Regards

Igor

Re:Download fail with Keil and LM3S811

Frank,

Thanks for your insight. I suspect that many of the people who are having the most trouble are seeing driver conflicts. Unfortunately, removing the old drivers can be a pain (as you described) since the uninstallers don't always get everything.

Re:Download fail with Keil and LM3S811

Hi,

Same Problem - somehow I think it has todo with multiple driver instances on different hubs.
-> if you connect the board on socket x directly, next time use it on different socket with hub a ....

Even if this is a problem to live with installing/removing all the time - there should
be at least suggestions how to avoid it.
Looks highly reproducible - so far.
