problem: jtag pin PB7 set as output

Hi,
I have the EKK-LM3S811 Evaluation Kit and I am coding with Keil uVision.
Today I did a mistake:
I set the pin PB7 (/TRST -> JTAG scan test reset input.) as OUTPUT.
Now I am not able to programm the Device any more.

Has anyone an idea how I can fix this. Is there another possibility to program the device?

Thanks in advance
Andi

Re:problem: jtag pin PB7 set as output

Mybe I did it also.
The message is when I am trying programming
something like 'Flash download failed. DLL canceled'.
I found in new release of cortex docs. on site in appendex A that is possible to programme via serial port but I didnt try. If ypu souccide could you send some notification on the forum.

Re:problem: jtag pin PB7 set as output

Hi,

I get the same message. I also found the hint that there must be a possibility to programm the device via uart0.
Does anyone know a software that can do this?

thanks

Problem: JTAG pins as GPIO

I am using LM38S11 EVAL BOARD.

I have found in LMI Errata that in case of the programing PB7(nTRST) or JTAG-s pins on the PC
port as GPIO that JTAG goes in the reset state, and only the advice is to not use this pins as GPIO.

Bat what to do if that hepend???
Before it heppend I was played with ports programming ports 'B' and 'C'.
Haw to alive programming.
Is it possible to use the serial port for programming in that case.
is there any solution except changing chip on the module?

It sims that if anyting goes wrong the messages is something like 'Flash programing failed. DLL canceled'.

Thaks for any respoce!

Re:Problem: JTAG pins as GPIO

We recently found a way to break into devices that have PB7, PC3 or PC4 switched to GPIO mode. If you have locked yourself out by switching one of the aforementioned pins, please send an email to support@luminarymicro.com, and we can send you an unlocking utility.
