The LM3S316 is based on the high-performance 32-bit ARM® Cortex™-M3 v7M architecture. This device integrates powerful analog-to-digital conversion and pulse-width-modulation capabilities with on-chip 16kB flash and 4kB SRAM memories.

Target applications include factory automation and control, industrial control power devices, building and home automation, and stepper motors.
