Motion Control

Motion control covers a wide range of applications. Whether controlling a motor is the sole purpose of the application, or only part of it, Stellaris MCUs feature sophisticated hardware to support control of all types of motors, including high speed motion control PWMs, QEIs, fast ADCs, and multiple timers. Additionally, with plenty of processor speed, generous memory options, and multiple communication types, most any application can share the processor.

• Motion Control PWMs >>> with deadband and fault detection support safe and efficient operation of motors. High speed ensures cleanest operation.
• QEI (quadrature encoder inputs) >>> support incremental encoders, tachometers, generators/resolvers, TDC detectors.
• High speed ADCs >>> support current measurement using Halls or shunts to adjust algorithms optimally.
• Independent integrated analog comparators >>> can be configured to drive an output or generate an interrupt of ADC event.
